Holiday Florida Shingle and Tile Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing!

As of August 2010 we will and have began providing Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing Service to Holiday and the surrounding Pasco County areas. In the past couple of months we have noticed an increase in calls from residents looking for quality Safe Non Pressure Roof Cleaning for their Tile and Shingle Roofs and Soft Wash Pressure Washing For their Homes Exterior, Pool Enclosures/ Cages and Decks and for Concrete Driveway Cleaning. Many who have called are from Communities that have been sent Letters/ Notices from their Home Owners Associations To Have their Roofs Cleaned as well as other areas of their property Cleaned. Yesterday, Saturday 8-14-2010 we performed a Tile Roof Cleaning, House Wash, Pool Deck and Enclosure and Concrete Cleaning for a Client for just that reason in a Home Owner Association In Holiday Florida. Not only was the Homeowner impressed with our method of Cleaning so was the Neighbor next door. They had also recieved a notice to have their Shingle Roof Cleaned but were very leary of calling someone in fear that someone would try to Clean their Shingle Roof using High Pressure. When they noticed our method of Non Pressure Roof Cleaning they immedietly hired us to Clean their Shingle Roof and were very happy with the results. Little did we know it, but we were actually being watched by one of the members on the Home Association Board who eventually approached us and told us how impressed he was with our crew and our equitment. He mentioned that he has seen a couple Pressure Washing companies in the area but non of them seemed to be as professional or as equiped to handle such jobs. Tile Roof Cleaning For the YMCA Of Greater Saint Petersburg!Here is a job that we did for one of our local YMCA's in Saint Petersburg Florida over the weekend. We were originally contacted back in 2008 to bid on this job but for whatever reason it got put on hold until this year. I have stayed in contact with them doing follow-up calls and visits since our original bid was submitted. Three weeks ago we were asked to do a demo for them because a few members on the BOD were skeptical about Non Pressure Roof Cleaning. They were very happy with the results and ten minutes after the demo we were given the go ahead to schedule the Roof Cleaning. We used 5 people on this job, went through 320 gals of fresh SH and it took 2 full days to complete. Many areas soaked up 3-4 coats of material. We have also done Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing for another location in Palm Harbor Florida and should be hearing on a few other locations in Clearwater, Largo, Seminole and others throughout Pinellas County and some in Hillsborough County Florida... This is a Pressure Washing job we completed working on for a Property Management company here in Clearwater. This is a Condo Association that consists of 33 units. They are all set within three 3 story buildings that are connected by a small maze in a courtyard. All of the end units have two sets of balconies and all the bottom floor units have patios that are surrounded by a brick partition. Mold, Mold and more Mold. I figured on 4 days to complete but we were able to complete Pressure Washing the buildings in 2 days. We went back on Thursday to finish up the outside perimeter Concrete Cleaning. This was the day that had already been set for the residents to move their cars from the carport area's so that we could rinse them out as well. This place is like a giant maze and we had fun Pressure Washing them. All of the residents were very nice and dealing with the President of the Home Owners Association was a pleasure. We are looking forward to working with them again in the future on a few other Pressure Washing and Roof Cleaning projects.

the " dirt " on roofs could actually be causing illness. Here is an excerpt from an article that was written by Dr. Morgenroth.
Having your roof cleaned actually makes sense.
It isn't just aesthetics. While people like to say that dirty roofs lower a property's value and may make it hard to sell, the "dirt" on a roof actually shortens its life span and can even present a health hazard. Furthermore, the "dark stains" on a roof act as a sponge to absorb the sun's heat, which causes a rise in the temperature inside a home or building, creating higher air conditioning bills.
The dirt isn't just dust – It's alive. Some of the black or very dark roof stains are caused by a resilient type of algae,Gloeocapsa magma (a type of blue-green algae commonly found in climates with warm, humid summers). The algae grow in standing water, as well as in our lakes and ponds. The algal spores are carried to our roofs from the water sources by the wind and birds, and then from roof to roof where it grows and feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles and the real dirt on tile roofs maybe in some cases the tiles themselves. Worse still, as the algae grow, they retain water and foster the growth of other roof inhabitants.
The black stains are also very likely to harbor a number of molds or fungi. Unlike algae the fungi on our roofs lacks chlorophyll. They are unable to manufacture food from raw materials. So, it must get nutrition from some form of organic matter. To thrive, these heterotrophs, who used to be called saprophytes, also require a warm, humid environment.
Fungi normally begin their life cycle as an airborne spore that settles on roofs, especially the asphalt-shingle ones. The spores on the northern exposure of the roof stand a better chance of survival because that portion of the roof is the last part to dry after a rain or morning dew. This raises the humidity on the surface of the shingle, thus creating a perfect feeding and breeding ground.
The tar used in roofing is fossilized, dead organic matter -- and an important food source for fungi. Asphalt, at the granule base, is normally consumed first. Once these granules dislodge, accelerated deterioration will occur. Ceramic granules represent the outer hard shell that protects against hail and other falling debris. Ceramic granules protect against damaging UV radiation and insulate the roof against extreme heat. So you can understand that their dislodgement by the growing fungal colonies can be detrimental to our roofs' longevity. Surprisingly, the blue-green algae are also food for the fungi.
While not all mold (fungi) and algae pose a health danger, some are harmful, especially for us older folks, younger children and people who suffer from asthma and respiratory problems. Their spores, which are on your roof, can get inside your home because they end up on the driveway and walkways from rain, and are easily tracked inside. They can even be drawn into our air conditioning systems and eventually populate our ducts.
Different mold species can have varying health effects, but it is important to remember that any excessive mold growth needs to be taken care of, regardless of the species. Any excessive mold growth can lead to increased allergies, toxicity, and house/building structural problems.
